E-K
Media provides video to CD conversion services. This process
begins by encoding your completed video with a digital compression
/ decompression scheme (Please see our Digital
File Format page to view a comparison of the popular digital
file compression methods). The most popular digital file format
for use on CD Video is MPEG-1, which can be played back with most
every software player including QuickTime, Real Player and Media
Player.
After encoding the video can be authored to include a title page
with up to 4 functions:
- A
customized top menu that contains a graphic, the video title,
and play & pause buttons.
- Chapter
stops.
- Links
to other computer files or websites.
In
addition to the above, the following features can be added to your
CD. These features are priced individually.
- Cross
Platform (Hybrid) disks to operate on PCs and Macs
- Auto-run
features so the disk automatically runs and defaults to the users
default software media player, or the fail safe media player.
- Embedded
(failsafe) media player on the disk, in the event the user does
not have a media player on their computer. The program would then
default to the failsafe media player.
- Media
download link that directs the user to the QuickTime site to download
version 5.0 in the event the user does not have a media player
on their computer.
- Package
your MPEG-1 video in Director with full screen display and customized
play, stop, chapter stops, fast forward and re-wind buttons.
CD-Videos
can contain up to 60 minutes of high quality MPEG-1 video, along
with the above features. A check disk will be provided for proofing
and approval prior to volume replication of your video. Click to
view our Packaging Options page
for your CD-Video.
We can accept the following tape formats: VHS, S-VHS, VHS-C, Hi-8,
Mini DV, DVCAM, DVCPro, BetacamSP, U-Matic, D-9, Digital 8 and Digibeta
